Grasse, the city of perfumes, is close by, as are the Roman ruins of Fréjus. There is a myriad of high perched villages to explore, such as Callian, Fayence, Caussol, Saint Vallier, Cabris, Spéracèdes, Eze, Saint Agnès and Gourdon. Places of particular interest include the Maeght Foundation at Saint Paul de Vence, the grottos of Saint Cézaire and the Heights of Cagnes. The scenic vine route is not to be forgotten. Nature lovers and conservationists will appreciate the immeasurable archaeological and botanical wealth of Estérel Park. Alternatively, the sea is just ten minutes from the auberge and boasts many tempting rock pools. There are water sports on offer whilst the lake at Saint Cassien Lake is a fisherman's paradise.
